It looks like a London campaign to free jailed socialite Paris Hilton has paid off - the hotel heiress was released this morning!
Paris was thrown behind bars on Sunday night after violating parole following a 2006 drink-driving arrest. She was ordered to serve a 23 day sentence at Los Angeles' Century Regional Detention Center.
The party girl's prison ordeal captured the world's media - and also inspired a bizarre campaign by travel firm LastMinute.com.
The company dressed up dozens of Paris lookalikes holding "Free Paris" placards to promote the chance of winning a weekend getaway to the French capital at Euston railway station this morning. The giggling girls sported the socialite's trademark blonde locks and pairs of over-sized sunglasses while handing out flyers for the competition.
And it seems the campaign had instant repercussions across the pond - their celebrity muse walked free hours later after a deal to cut her sentence after just three days was agreed. (SH/WN/IG)
