Fancy sharing a horn of ale with The Hound or sipping a cocktail with Daenerys?

Just in time for the time for the imminent return of Game of Thrones, a themed bar has opened its doors for those who want to immerse themselves in George R. R. Martin's fantasy world.

Blood & Wine fittingly lurks in a cellar - alas, not a dungeon - beneath Edinburgh's Daylight Robbery bar.

The interior is strewn with highly-detailed props from the show, including and an undead soldier's head impaled on a stick.

Staff don costumes inspired by the show, including The Hound's fearsome helmet. Wanted posters of characters adorn the walls, and (SPOILER ALERT) the venue even features the infamous door that Hodor held back.

Customers can sip a specially brewed ale called Seven Hells which come served in horn mugs, and there are themed cocktails including "Milk of the Poppy", which in the show was used as both a painkiller and an anesthetic. The signature cocktail cocktail, Blood & Wine, is made with sweet red vermouth, cherry liqueur and Valkyrie Single Malt.

The bar was set-up by show fanatics The Pop Up Geeks, headed up by Linden Wilkinson and Rachael Elizabeth Carpenter.

They say: "Our Maesters have sifted through scrolls, trawled through parchments and painstakingly sampled the many wines, ales and spirits within the pages of George R.R Martin's 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series to source the finest that the Seven Kingdoms have to offer.
So come along and taste your way through the Seven Kingdoms, but remember, when you play the Game of Thrones, you drink or you die. The Great War is here, join us as we raise a glass to the King in the North. You can truly quaff ale like the hound. All we need now is chickens, a whole lot of them."
