Playboy is relaunching its iconic magazine as a digital-first publication.
The famous magazine ceased printing in 2020, but a revamped digital version will debut later this year.
The online publication is part of Playboys creator platform , which the brand is billing as an elevated , safe and exclusive alternative to OnlyFans.
Playboy creators - which also include mainstream creators who post non-adult content on their pages - give subscribers exclusive access into their lives and will grace the magazines online covers.
Mainstream creators including Jordyn Woods and Stasis Karanikolaou are already on the platform.
Playboy creator Amanda Cerny features on the first digital cover to mark the magazines comeback, posing as a futuristic platinum Bunny in a shoot with illustrious photographer and director Charlotte Rutherford.
Former Playmate centerfold Amanda has already made more than $1 million as a Playboy creator using the beta version of the platform, Centerfold , which allows models to attract paying subscribers.
Behind-the-scenes and other selected images from Amandas shoot will be available only behind the paywall on her personal Playboy channel.
Playboy first launched Centerfold in December 2021 with spokeswoman Cardi B, as a place for creative freedom, artistic expression, and sex positivity.
Playboy will now be dropping the name Centerfold as the creator platform becomes the Playboy magazine for the 21st century.
The companys Chief Brand Officer Rachel Webber said: Were putting the power of content creation in the hands of the creative community and giving them the tools to interact with and monetize their fanbases daily.
Playboy says the big difference between OnlyFans and Playboy is that while anyone can become an OnlyFans creator, Playboys creators have to apply and be accepted by its editorial team.
Users can subscribe and pay to view both adult and non-adult content and will be able to message the models, while also being offered special access into their lives.
Top creators will earn special opportunities including official Playboy photo shoots, fashion design collaborations and the chance to serve as Playboy fashion ambassadors.
The new digital magazine will also feature essays from creators and content about what it is like being a part of Playboy.
Playboy CEO Ben Kohn hopes the creator platform will disrupt the current creator economy the same way Playboy magazine shook up the publishing industry nearly 70 years ago.
