A Los Angeles judge has ruled BRITNEY SPEARS' former husband KEVIN FEDERLINE will retain custody of their two sons - but the pop superstar is allowed monitored visits to see her kids.
The temporary ruling was made at a closed-door court session which lasted three hours on Wednesday (03Oct07) afternoon. Spears didn't attend, although Federline showed up sporting an eyepatch.
Federline, wearing a pinstriped suit and sunglasses, refused to speak to reporters as he left court.
Court spokesperson Allan Parachini says, "Britney's access to her kids works out to about every other day."
The next hearing in Spears and Federline's ongoing custody battle for Sean Preston and Jayden James is scheduled for 26 October (07) - both parents are required to attend.
Spears lost custody of her sons at a hearing on Monday (01Oct07), after failing to hand in a valid California driving licence. She was issued with an interim licence from the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) on Tuesday (02Oct07). (GES/WNWCPL)
