Headline : ''It's Only Rock & (Loo) Roll...'' - CBGB's Toilets Recreated In Miniature Size
Caption : Tiny toilets

Old punks missing the glory days of New York's CBGBs mecca can now revisit the fabled venue's infamous loos in a palm-size new art piece.
The toilets, where stars like the Ramones and Blondie hung out with punk posers have been recreated as miniatures by a quirky New York artist.
Danielle McGurran's keen eye and artistic talents have crafted such incredible replicas you can imagine tiny terrors living it up as the Big Apple's punk scene pogos around them.
The CBGBs crapper has become mythical over the years, with so many stars snarling for photos there.
The 47-year-old miniature artist tells WENN, "I started making minis a few years ago, with a focus on the shambolic New York City that I remember from growing up here in the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
"CBGBs is special because my parents used to bring me along when they went to see bands play there. I have vivid memories of falling asleep stretched out under my dad's coat across three bar stools lined end-to-end."
She adds, "I work in miniature because it’s kind of magical. By shrinking things down to where they can fit in the palm of your hand, the observer is no longer small in a big world. They are transformed, larger than life, forced into a new, uncanny perspective. The insignificant becomes significant. The familiar becomes unfamiliar. Trash turns to treasure. It's also a multidisciplinary medium that constantly challenges me to problem-solve and learn new techniques, which is something that makes my brain very happy."
CBGBs closed its doors for good in 2006 and designer John Varvatos took on the space for his flagship New York store. He shuttered the place earlier this year after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
