Photographer Steve Hogan captured charming images of what he says is the "first foal of the year" at Stanpit Marsh in Dorset on Thursday (25 April).
He says: It had been born a few hours before and was already enjoying the sunshine."
Stanpit Marsh was designated as a Local Nature Reserve in 1964 and in 1986 as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The Marsh is home to over 300 species of plants, 14 of which are nationally rare and endangered. |
