Headline : Japanese Artist Creates Incredibly Detailed Balloon Animals
Caption : Forget your run-of-the-mill cutesy balloon dogs and crowns twisted at kids birthday parties, Japanese artist Masayoshi Matsumoto elevates the inflated craft of balloon animals to an entirely different level.

The Japanese artist uses a multitude of balloon colors and shapes to sculpt creatures you might not normally associate with the children’s party activity including insects, baboons, and scaly lizards.

Mr Matsumoto, a chemical engineer, creates the incredibly intricate balloon sculptures in his spare time as a hobby - and one animal can take up to six hours to make.

He said: "It is very difficult. I create the shape by a process of trial and error. "I intend to continue making balloon art work, I want to pursue new possibilities of balloon art."
