Virus Madness Protest in The Hague, The Netherlands
Emergency order for prohibited corona protest at Malieveld, The Hague. 37 people were arrested, some threw bikes at the police
Despite the fact that the demonstration of action group Virus Madness against the corona was banned today on the Malieveld in The Hague, a few hundred demonstrators came anyway. The police arrested 37 people who refused to leave. A number of people threw bicycles at the police. The mayor had issued an emergency order.
Attendees from the Malieveld were led away to Central Station by police vans, people from the ME and the police on horseback. The police deployed many officers today. Matrix signs were also placed to warn demonstrators that they are in violation.
